St. George’s Festival has something for everyone. Bring your entire family and all your friends!

What to expect at the Middle Eastern Festival

 

​​Authentic Middle Eastern food prepared on site

Enjoy a taste of the Middle East with cultural favorites from kebobs to kibbee, shawarma sandwiches, stuffed grape leaves, tabouli, hummus, pastries and much more prepared right on site! Try a little bit of everything, share with friends and family, come back for more!

Festival Highlights

While the food may bring you to the festival, the excitement and energy will have you wanting to stay all day and night. Some fun to expect includes:

  • Live entertainment and music

  • Dabke dancing and performances

  • Beer, wine and cocktails

  • Hookah

  • Children's tent - a place to play!

  • Cathedral tours - Tour our beautiful cathedral. Learn about Eastern Orthodox Christianity. 

  • Gift shop and Marketplace

Festival Entrance & Important Information

Entrance Fee: $2.00 for adults. Children six and under - no charge.

Parking: There will be limited parking in the cathedral parking lot so please find street parking around the Anna Street, Lake Ave. area. Additional parking available at the Buffone Arena, 284 Lake Ave., a short 5 to 10 minute walk to Anna Street.

   

Handicapped parking: There will be handicapped parking spaces on the cathedral property. Please enter the main entrance of the cathedral and look for a security officer who can direct you to the spaces.

Safety: We hope our guests enjoy a safe and fun festival experience. For everyone's safety, the following rules and restrictions will apply for all festival hours and for all attendees.

  1. No weapons, drugs, or disruptive behavior allowed on premises.

  2. No underage drinking of alcohol — IDs will be checked where alcohol is served.

  3. Alcohol is not permitted beyond the perimeter of the designated tent area.

  4. No backpacks allowed. Only small bags will be allowed in.

  5. All bags are subject to search at entrance.

  6. Special consideration for baby bags will be given, but all will be checked/searched so please be prepared for some extra time at entrance.

  7. The festival is being held on private property. St. George Cathedral has the right to have individuals removed if disruptive or inappropriate behavior, language or signage is exhibited.

  8. This is a family friendly event. Attendees are expected to exhibit respectful behavior and use of non-offensive language while in attendance.  Behavior/language/signage that St. George identifies as disruptive, abusive or inappropriate will result in asking those not in compliance to exit the festival grounds immediately. 

  9. All dancing must be orderly and respectful of others and the sacred nature of the event.

    

Pets: We request that your furry friends remain at home. Service pets are welcome.
